She is doing well...

Margaret is doing well. She is tired and weak, but not in any pain! She is trying to keep up and about to rebuild her strength, but it is hard when she is so tired. They want her awake during the day with a short nap and sleeping at night. That is a challenge when you are trying to reset your clock. She says that she wakes up in the middle of the night wide awake.

Everyone around her is keeping her busy during the day. We are chatting often, but I need to go back over there and visit her again soon. I miss her alot. I know she isn't far, but it isn't the same!

Still no word on long term plans. She is supposed to see the surgeon on December 10th and hopefully we will have more info then. They will talk about therapy if it is necessary and long term plans. So far though, she has surpassed everyone's expectations! Way to go Margaret!

I am still so excited that she is home! I pray that she will have no large long term effects! We love you Margaret and hope to see you up and running around like your old self soon!

I'm so happy!!!
I just talked with Doug and he gave me this blog site. I will now share it with all of our wonderful homeschoolers here in Utah. Many have asked how Margaret is doing and what a wonderland gift to give them --a play by play. Thank you Denise and Tom for setting this up. My family prays for her each day and so do many of our homeschool families here in Utah. Thank you again and know that miracles never cease to happen. With God, nothing is impossible. Love you all, Kuulei

Margaret arrived in Yakima, WA today. She is doing well. She is currently staying with her sister Denise. It is quiet there and she can continue her recovery. Her follow-up appointment went well. Dr. White simply looked at her scar and answered questions. She is missed at home but on behalf of our children and myself, thank you to all of you for your prayers, and kindness. Doug Johnson

It has now been 3 1/2 years. Margaret is doing so much better. I thank my Heavenly Father for her daily. Our relationship has become so much more solidified. We do not want to take any chances of losing the moment.
